Bush Lemon Fundraising Project

If you have a business with a shop front or a physical location anywhere in Australia, you can help us raise much needed funds for our community projects and initiatives. The Bush Lemon Fundraising Project (AKA ‘Lemon-Aid’) is simple and fun, and all monies raised will go to directly to supporting our people and communities in the food growing space.

What you will need:

• a lemon of any kind

• a container of water (big enough for the lemon to float in without touching the bottom or sides)

• $5 in coins

• an A5 flyer/information sheet sheet (downloadable via the link below)

What you need to do:

• place the lemon in the water so it floats comfortably and without restriction

• place the $5 of coins (of any kind) in the bottom on the container

• print out the A5 flyer/information sheet and display it along with the floating lemon container somewhere visible and accessible in your business (eg. shop counter, point of sale etc).

• encourage clients/patrons to balance their loose change on the lemon—if they are successful they double their money (taken from the money in the container). Any coins that fall off the lemon and into the container are a donation to Yuruwan.

• At the end of every month, count up the money (minus the original $5) and transfer the amount to us through this link.
